Besides that I think math homework is a great way to get better. If you make mistakes on the homework you will loose less points than if you make mistakes on the test/quiz. Also, going over your mistakes is key.

If you haven’t had any good math teachers it can be very hard to learn these topics, but take it at your own pace.
With math you have to understand before you move on, or else it’s like trying to read words without knowing the alphabet.
